Mistakes We Make While Showering Everyday
Taking a shower daily is a great habit. When you wake up in the morning and you are all sleepy, you go to your bathroom and take a shower and it wakes you up. This is because it improves the circulation of blood in your body to wake you up and turn on the power switch of your brain.
People think that it’s simple enough to take a shower incorrectly everyday but there are some consequences and rules to keep your skin and body healthy.
So here are some common mistakes we commit while showering.
Showering for Too Long:
There are people who spend hours in shower and drain so much water on their body but that is altogether wrong thing to do. When the water is hot, you want to shower for long. But if you shower for longer than 10 minutes in hot water, your skin will become dry and itchy.
According to studies 10 to 15 minutes is adequate interval for showering in hot water otherwise the skin become rough and rashy.
Using too much of Gels and Body Wash:
Your skin has some adequate amount of oils as protective layer to prevent your skin from getting rough and scratchy. But the use of too much soap and anti-bacterial foams, it get depleted and your skin becomes prone to rashes. As a matter of fact, these antibacterial chemicals are not prescribed to be used regularly as they result in making your skin try and itchy.
So you should lessen the amount of soap and foamy gels to keep your skin healthy and glowing and prevent it from getting too much dry and rough.
Using Wet Old Sponges:
It is really important to dry up your sponge after using it as it is perfect for the growth of bacteria and moths. The advised strategy is to change your sponge after every month or three weeks and never use wet sponge as wet sponges contain bacteria and they can result in pimples as the germs spread.
It’s better to use a dry towel. After using a towel, you should hang it in sunlight to get dried and you can also iron the towel to kill the bacteria.
